About Me

When I was 11 months old, I was adopted from China and came to live in the United States. I was raised in Doylestown, Pennsylvania-where my family and I still live now. My mother is an accountant and my father is an electrical and mechanical engineer. We love to travel together as a family; we’ve visited Ireland—where my father is from, and we have ongoing plans to visit Greece-where my mother is from. We also have a little dog named Sparky, he is our newest addition to the family and we can’t imagine life without him! I love all dogs and have had the pleasure of spending time with many-whether it be through volunteering at an animal shelter or dog-sitting for neighbors.

As an undergraduate freshman, I attended Fordham University before ultimately transferring to Rutgers University as a sophomore. At Rutgers, I not only found my passion in the art of communication and student teaching, I also experienced a diverse environment for the first time in my life. I have met so many amazing and different people on campus, and have realized the true significance of diversity.

I am very grateful to have earned my BA and continue to work towards my MA at Rutgers, and I look forward to continuing to grow my academic career on campus.
